Getting Your Dentures and Partials: The Process

When you come in for your first visit, we will use the impression of your mouth to make your teeth. That means they are one of a kind! You only need to pay half of the cost of your partial or denture for us to get started, and then we will get you back in about a week for a try-in appointment!

What is a Try-In?

The teeth will be set in wax. This is not the finished product. A try-in gives you the opportunity to look at the teeth before we finish them. This is your chance to make any changes so you know you will be happy with the result! You may need to come back more than once for a try-in, and you can come back as many times as you need until you are happy.

Once you are happy with everything, we will schedule a time for you to pick up your teeth once they are finished. This is your last chance to make any changes because once they are finished, our services are complete, other than making minor adjustments to make them more comfortable. It costs us money and time, as well as your time, to have to remake dentures or partials, so the final try-in approval is as much your responsibility as it is ours. We will not mind if you wish to bring your mom, daughter, father, son, or whoever wants to come for their input as well! During the try-in appointment, you can change the size of the teeth or the color of the teeth, and we will make sure the bite is right. We will also check to make sure you are satisfied with the placement of the teeth, as well as the length of the teeth. You will also approve the straightness of the teeth. If everything looks good, we will schedule your appointment for you to pick up your teeth!

Your final payment will be due when you come to pick up your teeth. At this appointment, we will place the partial or denture in your mouth for you so we can check the bite and make sure the teeth seat properly without causing discomfort. You have up to six months to schedule appointments for free adjustments. After six months, there is a small charge for each adjustment.

Our Responsibilities

Everyone’s mouth is different, which means there are many issues that can arise as a result of prosthetic use. The acrylic partial is considered a temporary partial because of its limited durability.
